Justin Timberlake Finally Reveals The Adorable Name Of His Second Son

Justin Timberlake has confirmed the arrival of his second son — and shared his name

If 2020 had one silver lining, it was all the celebrity babies that were announced or arrived. And throughout much of the year, there was speculation that Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel were among the stars who had welcomed a new little bundle of joy, but the couple was extremely secretive about their family — until now. Finally, JT has confirmed that he and Biel are parents of two, and has even revealed his baby son’s name.

Timberlake made an appearance on The Ellen Show, which was where he decided to go public with the big news for the first time.

“His name is Phineas,” he said. “And he’s awesome.”

Timberlake added a little bit about his feelings, being a dad of two. “He’s so cute and nobody’s sleeping.” Yeah, that sounds about right.

He also described how having two kids compares to having one.

“We don’t see each other anymore,” Timberlake joked. “It’s a lot of fun. I guess the saying goes go from a zone defense to a man-to-man really quickly. It’s great. Silas is super excited.”

Silas, the couple’s 5-year-old son, has apparently really embraced his role as a big brother.

“Right now he’s very much liking it,” Timberlake said. “Phin can’t walk yet or chase him down, so we’ll see what happens.”

He added at the end of the interview, “But we’re thrilled. We’re thrilled and couldn’t be happier, very grateful.”

As it turns out, Ellen DeGeneres was one of the few people “outside of the immediate family” who knew that Timberlake and Biel were expecting another baby.

“I think we were FaceTiming and you said, ‘Hey, you want to know a secret?'” she said. “And then Jessica walked in and you put your hand on her stomach. You were like, ‘I’m having another baby!”

You may remember over the summer, when Timberlake’s bandmate Lance Bass accidentally let the news slip to Entertainment Tonight, saying, “The baby is cute of course.” But it wasn’t until now that anyone officially confirmed that the family had grown. In 2018, Biel shared her own thoughts with Entertainment Tonight, and revealed that she wanted to have another baby.

“Kids are amazing. They are really hard, but they are really amazing,” she said at the time. “I think it would be amazing to have a bigger family. I don’t know if that is in the cards for us, we will see.”
