So, you just popped out a baby and your period hasn’t returned. Feeling lucky? Don’t get too excited. Your period will return about two to three months after baby. Your first period will be heavier than normal (boo!) because your uterus is getting back to normal (yay!). If you’re breastfeeding, expect your period to take even longer to return.

Once your period is back, it should return to normal if you had a normal period before baby. For more on your post-baby period and what feminine products are best, watch this video.
