Reuniting With Your Good Friend Sleep
Things are rapidly changing with your baby’s sleep schedule. You might notice that she doesn’t really need that morning nap anymore. THIS IS A GOOD THING. It will open up your life (if you stay at home) to going more places during the day, and (fingers crossed) she’ll sleep through the night because she’s so freaking tired.
You probably never knew how much you loved sleep until you had a baby, right? Well, going down to one nap a day should help re-unite you with your good friend once again. Unless your baby actually hates you and then, well, you won’t sleep ever again. We’re very sorry. (JUST KIDDING, your baby does not hate you, even if it seems like she does sometimes — mostly at 4 am.)
You can soothe your sleep-deprived self with the fact that your baby is probably a hilarious dancer. It’s true. Just like our husbands, babies think they’re the best dancers ever. They shake their booties like it’s getting hot in here. They don’t care what kind of music it is either, just put on something with a catchy beat and let the entertainment begin. Fun fact: Becoming a parent really changes your standards regarding what entertainment is.
