Dudeoir photos are all the rage, and this ‘patriotic’ series is the newest installment

As we’ve said before, 2016 is the year of the dudeoir photoshoot, and we couldn’t be happier about it. It seems we’ve been shortsighted in conceiving what should be photographed with a glossy filter in the woods.

Tami Bears of Artistic Photography By Tami posted these images last week, in honor of Flag Day, of course. Bears told Scary Mommy she wanted to make her fans giggle and give them a break from all the current sad news and political fights that have been popping up online: “I just wanted to make Facebook laugh again. I had no idea we would have over 1000 shares within days and be in Cosmopolitan magazine four days later. It spread faster than we could even wrap our heads around!

Yes, the internet needs a break — and here it is, in the form of her bail bondsman friend Joshua Varozza frolicking on a farm. Bears captioned the album with, “Because the ladies can’t have ALL the fun in the land of the free.”

“This was my first ever dudeoir shoot, I am a full time wedding photographer normally,” she told Scary Mommy. “I saw something like this last winter and wanted to put my own spin and style on it. It was in the top 20 most downloaded posts on Imgur just two days after shooting it we were so excited the world was loving this as much as we loved making it!”

“I had the idea to do this shoot for quite awhile but needed to find the perfect model,” Bears explained. Friends were offering up their husbands as models, but nothing felt like what she was looking for. “Then I saw Josh post a picture on Facebook and was like ‘Jackpot!’ He was exactly what I had been holding out for. I asked if he would do it and he didn’t even hesitate.” They had so much fun with the shoot that she had to set the camera down occasionally because she was laughing so hard. “We are both so shocked but unbelievably excited we could just make everyone smile again,” she said.

More big, hairy men frolicking in fields, please.
