His wife announced the happy news at a press conference
Michael Bublé and wife Luisana Lopilato shared happy news this week. Last year, their three-year-old son Noah was diagnosed with cancer, but now, the little boy is cancer-free.
Ending what can only be described as every parent’s nightmare, Bublé’s wife spoke about their son at a press conference in Argentina. USA Today reports that she told the crowd, “Thank God, my son is well. When things like those that happened to us occur, your take on life changes. It happened to us. Now I value life much more, the now and the today.”
When Noah received his diagnosis of liver cancer last year, Bublé shared the horrible news with fans on Facebook saying, “We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the US. We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children. Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well.”
The parents did just that and have focused on Noah’s treatments in Los Angeles for the last several months, along with their younger son Elias, born in January 2016.
What every family going through the nightmare of childhood cancer needs most is love and support, and Bublé and his family have received plenty of it. Lopilato made a point of thanking those who have been there for them during their ordeal. “I want them to know that they reached us and that it helped us a lot to come through this. But the love is daily, when people stop me in the street. It’s wonderful to know that you’re accompanied in life and that people love you.”
Their worries aren’t over, as Noah is still recovering, but the news that he’s cancer-free has them sounding optimistic. “My son’s recovery is a long process as you all know and he has to continue with check-ups,” Lopilato said. “But we are very happy. We are looking forward to thinking about the future, to seeing our children grow.”
