Oh dear God these all cut too close to the quick. Yikes.

I like to feel like our family CFO when I pay bills and file taxes. Sure good to know that my Masters in Finance is going to good use. Also? Newborns ARE ugly. When I look at newborn pictures of my kids they are unrecognizable. And in most of the pictures they are screaming. And I have this vaguely pained look on my face. Which explains why we have no newborn pictures hanging on our walls.

Oh many, I’m right there with ya on the best friend thing! The little kid my 4 year old sons idolize is a super-punk! I wish I could banish him from their lives. I’ve tried to subtly convince them that he’s not their friend, because he does me things to them (constantly!) but they also defend his terrible behavior and say he is fun. Luckily they will be going to different kindergartens, but now I’m afraid of who will be their best friend there. UGH! It’s going to be a long life!

The snowsuit one is definitely smart, not scary. We should all try that if we go skiing. Maybe that would be scary though. Didn’t some woman wear diapers for an extended trip to stalk some guy? Okay, nevermind about all of us, but for the kids. Oh yeah!

I am these moms. I also judge them harshly.

I only tell my kids to not eat things off the ground when people are watching. Otherwise, have at it, jerks.

Sometimes I pretend like my infant was an asshole all day, look exasperated when my husband gets home and make him take her and the other children while I storm out and get something fantastic to eat…only because there’s nothing good to eat in my house and I don’t want to listen to my husband chew.

Reply

52 Cassie March 8, 2012 at 11:54 pm

Oh Lexie! I do the same thing! When my husband comes home I get “stressed out” and go upstairs to take a “break” which entails actually watching what I want to on TV.

I despise my daughters “cousin” although she is my BFF’s only child. This little 11 yo monster is cruel and sneaking and unkind. She gets my daughter into trouble but as much as she annoys and irritates my BFF, said BFF is an ineffectual disciplinarian. The little witch is great with adults but I don’t even want her in my house.

My SS once texted me by accident and referred to me as his “bitchass stepmom”. I am proud and pleased to say that the little sh*thead ran off and got married. Now he’s in the armed forces and his lazy wife refuses to work and spends her days smoking weed with her loser (male) neighbor, and napping with her many pets. He fought me tooth and nail for 14 years, now it’s the school of hard knocks for him. *sigh*

These are great! I totally relate to spending time in the bathroom. It’s the only place where I can have 5 minutes of “me” time. I pretend I can’t hear the kids banging on the door. Takes a few minutes but they eventually give up and move on. Oh how I love the bathroom. Oh and newborns are ugly. I can never tell the gender so I always ask how old is the “baby” or what is the “babies” name so I don’t say girl when its a boy!
