On this day, we celebrate the Scottish Declaration of Independence and Scottish heritage. Here are a few celeb parents you probably didn’t know were Scottish.

Tilda Swinton is famous for her range as an actor. She’s played an evil witch (in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe) and won a best supporting actress Oscar for the film Micheal Clayton. She is also a mother of two.
