A couple had a chicken nugget-themed engagement photoshoot

Chicken nuggets are juicy. Chicken nuggets are delicious. Chicken nuggets are…really, really romantic? Stick with me here. A couple had a chicken nugget-themed engagement photoshoot and it was actually extremely classy, hilarious, and, yes, totally romantic.

Who doesn’t love a fun, quirky engagement shoot? When photographer Katie Silva was approached by Brett and Steph to capture their ode to nuggets, she did not hesitate for even a second.

“One does not say no to that,” Silva told Scary Mommy. “I’m that photographer who will go to great extents and intentionally embarrass myself to get genuine laughs out of you. But with these guys – they had ME laughing the whole time. It was great. They are such a cool couple.”

Photo proof of just how cool of a couple they are below. Warning: these pictures will make you want to head straight to Mickey D’s, wolf down a six piecer, and maybe — just maybe — have a little grease-filled photoshoot of your own.

And, yes, that last photo is the duo looking at chicken nuggets as if it were their newborn baby. “I wanted to give off the “new parent” vibe to the shoot, only instead of a child, it was a nugget,” Silva explained.

So, so many snaps all around.

Are you currently in fast food heaven right now? There’s more. Silva then captured Brett getting down on one knee and “proposing” with a box of chicken nuggets. They even brought the ring along and put it in the box. 1,000 points for this wedding photographer, who managed to make an engagement ring actually look quite stunning amongst friend chicken.

All and all it was a very dreamy day for the couple. Except there were, sadly, some uninvited guests. “We took some shots down by the beach and got attacked by mosquitos,” Silvia recalled. “I mean literally attacked. Flying in your mouth type attack. So nothing goes better with nuggets than a side of mosquito, that’s for sure.”

Silva will be reuniting with the couple to capture their wedding later this year and — surprise surprise — there will be a chicken nugget bar at the ceremony. Best wedding ever? Yup, think so.

I’ll be patiently waiting for my invite to this special occasion. You can send it directly to my local McDonalds.
