This Mother's Day Photo Of Meghan Markle And Baby Archie Is Everything
There’s a very beautiful Mother’s Day tribute on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Instagram account
If you need yet another reason to love Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, we’ve got it for you. There’s an incredibly sweet, inclusive message posted on their Instagram account for Mother’s Day and it will make you feel all the good feelings. *Bonus points* – it features a very cute shot of baby Archie’s teeny tiny feet.
The Instagram post sent a whole lot of love to moms in every single capacity. “Paying tribute to all mothers today – past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered. We honor and celebrate each and every one of you.”
The post noted that it was the first mother’s day for Markle and included a quote from the poem “lands” by Nayyirah Waheed. “My mother was my first country; the first place I ever lived,” it read.
If you’re prepared to feel even more weepy, Rebecca English, the Daily Mail’s Royal Correspondent, noted that those beautiful flowers in the background hold a very special significance.
“I understand the picture was taken at Frogmore Cottage, the Sussex’s new Windsor home, with Princess Diana’s favourite flower – forget me nots – in the background,” English tweeted. I told you re: weepiness.
Markle gave birth to Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor on May 6 (and the name Archie is delightful, do not want to hear any arguments otherwise). Prince Harry shared the happy news with reporters and was downright giddy.
“How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension,” he said. “But we’re both absolutely thrilled and so grateful to all the love and support from everybody out there. It’s been amazing so we just wanted to share this with everybody.”
The royal Instagram account posted a few more pictures, including a shot of the two new parents walking together which will make you feel even more ~things.~
So, so many congratulations to the happy family. More beautifully written Instagram posts and cute baby pix, please.
