Meghan and Harry let the world get a first peek at their new son

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, aka, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have given us the very first glimpse of their newborn son. No name reported yet, but for now, we’re content just looking at his sweet baby face and melting over the obvious joy of his smitten parents.

The royal couple arrived to their presser at St. George’s Hall at Windsor Castle in Berkshire with Harry cradling their new baby and Meghan positively beaming. They graciously answered questions from a handful of reporters and we got to know a little about the tiny guy who just happens to be seventh in line to the throne.

“It’s magic, it’s pretty amazing,” Meghan said when asked how new motherhood is treating her. “I have the two best guys in the world, so I’m really happy. He has the sweetest temperament, he’s really calm.”

They look so proud and our hearts are bursting.

Oh, and here’s what everyone is after — a close-up of his princely face. Those cheeks. That button nose. Those cherub lips. He’s perfect.

“He’s just been the dream, so it’s been a special couple of days,” Meghan shared. They’re not sure yet who he looks like but they’re watching closely to see. “Everyone says that babies change so much over two weeks. We’re basically monitoring how the changing process happens over this next month really,” said Harry. “But his looks are changing every single day, so who knows.”

“Parenting is amazing. It’s only been two and a half days, three days, but we’re just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy,” he gushed.

Meghan says they actually passed Prince Philip on their way into St. George’s Hall. “We just bumped into the Duke as we were walking by, which was so nice,” she said. “So it’ll be a nice moment to introduce the baby to more family, and my mom’s with us as well.” The couple shared that Queen Elizabeth and the Duke will be meeting the little man later today.

Prince William is another pretty darn important family member who’s thrilled at the arrival of his first nephew on the royal side (Kate’s sister Pippa had a baby boy last fall). He told reporters yesterday, “I’m very pleased and glad to welcome my brother to the sleep deprivation society that is parenting!” The Prince says he and Duchess Kate are “absolutely thrilled and looking forward to seeing them in the next few days when things have quieted down.”

The day the baby was born, Harry spoke to the press himself and was bubbling over about his newly-formed family of three. “I haven’t been at many births ― this was definitely my first birth but it’s amazing. Absolutely incredible. I’m so incredibly proud of my wife,” he said. “And as every father and parent would ever say, your baby is absolutely amazing, but this little thing is absolutely to die for, so I’m just over the moon.”

UGH we can’t even. They’re too pure for this world.

Hopefully, the royal couple introducing the baby to the Queen means we’ll hear his name shortly after. Then, maybe Meghan and her little boy can get some much-deserved rest.
