Serena Williams is on the cover of the August issue of Vanity Fair looking A-MA-ZING. And it’s not just the cover image that will blow you away, Annie Leibovitz shot the tennis star, and the portfolio is unbelievable.

First, the cover:

Look. At. This. Woman. She’s donning only a pair of nude underwear and a belly chain, and she is gorgeous.

The cover story gives us an intimate look at the moment Serena realized she was pregnant. About a week before the Australian Open last January, Serena admits she’d felt different physically. She had thrown up and realized her boobs felt bigger. At the urging of her friend Jessica Steindorff, she bought a pregnancy test.

“I put it down. I went back to finishing hair and makeup, was laughing, talking. I was getting the styling done,” she tells Vanity Fair. “An hour and a half later, I went back to the bathroom and I totally forgot about it because it was impossible for me. . . . So I went back to get dressed and I went back in the bathroom and I was like, ‘Oh yeah, that test.’ ”

Well, “that test” was positive. Serena admits she was shocked. “My heart dropped. Like literally it dropped.” She recalls thinking, “How am I going to play the Australian Open? I had planned on winning Wimbledon this year.”

As we all know now, she went on to win the Australian Open. Pregnant. Because that’s how much of a badass she is

In April Serena broke the internet by “announcing” via a Snapchat photo (that she quickly took down) that she was pregnant, via a bump selfie. She was five months. Days later, she made an official announcement via Instagram.

In the August VF issue, Serena opens up about her relationship with fiancé, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.

“If you would have told me last year in October or November that I would have a baby, not be pregnant but have a baby, I would have thought you were the biggest liar in the world,” Williams said. “This is kind of how I am right now. This is happening sooner than later, and it’s going by so fast.”

As for baby preparations? “I don’t know what to do with a baby,” she said. “I’ve done absolutely nothing for the baby room.”

Yeah, we get it. May be hard to squeeze nursery planning into winning tennis opens and being the best tennis star in the history of, ever. They’re expecting the baby in the fall, so she has some time.

Congratulations, Serena. You are rocking this pregnancy thing.
