Anderson Cooper Rolling His Eyes Is All Of Us

Kellyanne Conway speaks. Anderson Cooper rolls his eyes. All of us are satisfied

Last night, while interviewing Kellyanne Conway about Trump’s firing of F.B.I. director James Comey, the eye roll to end all eye rolls happened. And Twitter was so there for it.

Kellyanne Conway did her signature move: veering off topic and babbling incoherently until her interviewer just gives up. But Cooper is no rookie — he’s seen this move. And he’s so sick of it.

Why does Kellyanne always look like we’ve just woken her from a slumber from which she’s risen to spout nonsense? Anyone? Anyone have the answer to this question? She looks bored and tired — at all times. And Anderson looks like he’s just had enough. It’s almost as if we can hear him thinking, “I can’t believe this woman is speaking for the White House. Wake me when our national nightmare is over.”

Cooper played a few soundbites of Trump on the campaign trail last year, praising Comey. Kellyanne responded to the clips by saying, “Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I was on your show often last year saying we were going to win Michigan and how we were going to do it, so that was fun — but here’s what happened today…” Insert eye roll, because everyone is sick of Trump’s team avoiding questions and just mentioning that they won. Repeatedly. Yeah, we know. We’re living this nightmare, too.

Twitter could not get enough of the moment.

Anderson Cooper’s eye roll will go down in the Shade Hall of Fame.
