This calendar offers a shirtless Australian firefighter posing with cats for every month of the year
Is there anything hotter than shirtless firemen? The answer is yes: shirtless firemen holding kittens. A bunch of brilliant Australian firemen came to this conclusion way before we did, and started an annual tradition of releasing a calendar featuring — you guessed it — firemen sans shirts holding fluffy, adorable felines.
For the last 27 years, the Australian Firefighters Calendar has been a serious hit. In fact, it happens to be the world’s most popular calendar. Since 1993 firefighters from around Australia’s Urban, Rural, Armed Forces, Aviation, and corporate fire-fighting services have rallied together — along with a bunch of cats — to create this iconic work of art.
This year they are offering six unique calendars featuring other animals as well, including dogs and horses. They will also feature firefighters from France and Germany. And next year, expect hot firefighters from around the world in the first ever International Firefighters Calendar.
But let’s talk about the hotness you will experience every single month if you choose to invest in one of these calendars.
One of our favorite images is of a super beefy dark haired lad holding a huge cat up by one hand like it’s a tray of food or something.
In another, an equally good-looking shirtless hunk strikes a pose against a pink wall. Only there is a little white kitten perched on his shoulder and we’re slightly breathless.
Four kittens and shirtless guy with low slung pants? Yes please. Times four.
Another shirtless guy with three itty bitty kitties? We’ll take that one too.
There is something about this guy wearing a single red suspender that makes us totally jealous of the cat on his shoulder.
And seriously, this white cat has no reason to be mad. Look at that dude.
But wait, it gets better. In addition to all these sizzling hot photos, there is an accompanying video showing all of the down-under hunks in live action. If seeing them with the cats is sexy, watching them interacting with them is next level. One guy even does exercises with his big kitty.
In addition to how good these calendars look, they will make you feel great as well. Not only will you enjoy 12 entire months of heroic shirtless dudes with abs and little adorable cats, but you will be making a donation to a great cause. Proceeds from the calendar go towards some of Australia’s biggest Children’s Hospital organizations as well as local, smaller charities with more of a focus on native Australian, rescue, and therapy animals.
“We felt that it was important to help some of the smaller charities that the public never hears about. These grass roots organizations work tirelessly in their local community making a huge difference to people’s lives,” David Rogers, Director, Australian Firefighters Calendar explained in a press release.
They also make the perfect holiday gift for (almost) everyone on your list — just make sure the recipient is into cats! If not, maybe they will appreciate the one celebrating firefighters holding puppies.
