Baby Yoda Chia Pets are expected to hit stores sometime this year

Ever since the launch of Disney+ and the debut of its hit series The Mandalorian, Baby Yoda mania has been in full effect. The totally adorable little creature, dubbed “The Child,” has spawned a retail revolution. Hasbro has released a “The Child Talking Plush Toy,” there are non-verbal Baby Yoda plush toys, Freshly Picked The Child baby moccasins, and even a Baby Yoda Build-A-Bear on the way this spring. But seriously, stop what you’re doing, because one of the most exciting products inspired by the tiny guy has just been announced: soon you can own a Baby Yoda Chia Pet.

The Pop Insider recently spotted the soon-to-be-released potted Baby Yoda at the New York Toy Fair, where companies unveil their latest toys and gadgets. According to the publication, “the decorative planter features a grinning, robed Baby Yoda situated in his spherical pod (unfortunately solo and without one of his beloved frog snacks).”

Like other Chia Pets, The Child not only serves as an adorable home accent, but will sprout an actual plant once you seed him up. While no release date has been announced, the outlet speculates we should expect him to hit stores sometime this year.

Seriously, this guy is just as cute as the upcoming Build-A-Bear Baby Yoda, expected to hit stores this spring.

The high demand for Baby Yoda merchandise has seriously gotten so out of control that Disney even had to shut down crafters who were hawking their handmade Baby Yoda products on Etsy. Luckily, they are making sure to keep up with the demands of fans by releasing tons of awesome “official” merchandise.

If you need to get your Baby Yoda fix ASAP and don’t want to spend any money, you should consider whipping up a batch of cookies inspired by the character. One fan shared a clever Baby Yoda cookie cutter hack. All you need to do is cut off the head of an angel cookie and creatively frost away.
