Chrissy Teigen Trying To Save Her Spilled Breastmilk Is The Most Relatable Struggle

Chrissy Teigen shows just how important every drop of breastmilk truly is

If you are currently nursing or have ever nursed an infant, then you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that crying over spilled breastmilk is 100% valid. Every single drop of pumped liquid gold has an emotional value equivalent to the ransom of a dozen sultans — and no one knows this better than Chrissy Teigen, as demonstrated by her latest video.

Some women produce epic amounts of breastmilk. Some women do not. Some women cannot produce much, if any, at all. None of this is fair and it would be amazing if nature just allowed women to universally produce the perfect amount of milk, but that’s just not the case. However, if there’s one thing all nursing moms can agree on no matter how much or how little they’re able to pump, it’s that EVERY. DROP. COUNTS.

Don’t believe me? Check out exhibit A, where we see a desperate Teigen literally syringing up a small puddle of her spilled breastmilk.

“I spilled my breastmilk and this is how important it is in this house,” she says while suctioning up baby Miles‘ milk with the syringe and a kitchen utensil. She is basting up that boob milk like it’s Thanksgiving Day, and it’s the most relatable new mom struggle ever.

Pumping breastmilk is one of the most tedious, inconvenient, just all-around annoying things a new mom has to do. While I was one of those “plentiful booby” moms (and yes, I’m using that in the singular form, as my left one was a literal geyser and my righty was the little booby that could…not), anytime I spilled my milk I went from zero to HULK RAGE because I despised pumping with the fire of a thousand suns.

This is just another reason to love Teigen, who is basically a Hilarious Mom Content machine (probably not her favorite resume label but her social media accounts keep us sane so, *shrugs*).

See exhibit B below.

Honestly, thank God for moms who are in the public eye and are also completely candid about what life is really like as a new mother. We’re subjected to enough Lifestyle Brands™ that are in no way relatable. Which is why we need Chrissy Teigen and her boob milk content.
