Chrissy Teigen Asked For Pet Hamster Advice And The Internet Didn't Disappoint 

Chrissy had questions about her pet hamster — the internet had answers

Chrissy Teigen is only a few years into this whole parenting thing, but she’s already straight up nailing it. She allowed two-year-old daughter Luna to have a pet hamster, a thing I’ve vowed to never do in my home because I refuse to be the only one cleaning the cage, which is exactly how it would go. Trouble is, hamsters are a bit more complex than Teigen (or probably any mom) bargained for, so she took to Twitter to get a few things sorted out.

Like, why won’t this little thing stop nibbling its damn cage?

“Luna and I bought a hamster today. Her name is peanut butter. John is not thrilled, which makes me love her more,” she quips.

Teigen asked Twitter for advice on how to handle their new family pet — because who even knew how totally baffling hamsters can be? Like, what do they eat?

And you can’t…touch them? Alrighty then.

Apparently they’re not super great at cohabitating?

They’re also pretty much the ninjas of rodents.

OMG.

Once Teigen opened up about her hamster’s, um, quirky behavior, she must’ve gotten some chiding for the creature’s living quarters. She quickly put all concerns of Peanut Butter’s personal comfort to rest. This is one spoiled little fur-girl.

Let the panicking and obsessing continue.

The internet was extremely helpful and reassuring during Teigen’s time of small pet confusion.

Also, this horror show is totally a thing and the real reason a hamster will never live in my home. When my cousin first started teaching, she got a hamster for her kindergarten classroom. She had no idea she bought a pregnant hamster and came in one morning to what I can only call hamster carnage. I will never as long as I live forget that phone call.

UGH. Why, hamsters? Just…why?

These little things do not mess around, y’all. But if anyone can handle cannibal animal craziness with all kinds of chill, it’s Teigen. She’s always extremely open about dealing with the ins and outs of pregnancy and motherhood. We also already knew she was very into her pets.

But above all, she’s a loving momma to Luna and sweet baby Miles, so it’s no surprise that when her little girl wanted a hamster, Teigen made it happen.
