For the dog that has everything: pooch friendly pool floats

If you’re like me, I’m sure you’ve been lounging on a float in your pool, the sun on your face and a cool beverage in your hand, and thought to yourself, “I really wish my dog could get in on this summer pool day action.” Just kidding, I don’t have a pool or a dog (I freakin’ wish). But if you have those things, read on, because I’m about to solve that little pooch pool problem for you.

Thanks to a collaboration between Funboy and Bark, you can now buy matching inflatable pool floats for you and your furry best friend.

Just look at those cool customers. That lady gettin’ her vitamin D on and petting her doggo at the same time? That could be you.

The collection offers a few different options. For $59, you can get a pink convertible dog-sized float.

Or, for $169, you can bundle that float with a matching human-sized one. And why wouldn’t you, honestly?

There’s even a doggie toy compartment. Or booze resting on ice compartment, you do you.

Also coming in at $59 is the yacht-themed pup float, for the dog with refined, luxurious tastes.

We’re a little pupset to report that the float doesn’t come with a dog-sized Hawaiian shirt, but we’re coping.

And again, for $169, you can get it paired with your own human-sized version (the obvious choice).

These floats are made of “thick, puncture-resistant material,” so you don’t have to worry about your best pupper friend’s claws deflating any of your summer fun. They also feature toy and treat compartments on the dog floats, and coolers and cup holders on the hooman floats.

While they’re marketed toward dogs, we’re not sure what’s stopping anyone from taking a particularly adventurous cat out for a pool day. Really, any animal would probably be fine, as long as it isn’t too big for the float. Someone please get one for their goat and then send me pics. I feel like a goat would really dig one of these.

A goat on a float, get it? I’m here every Thursday.

Summer is finally here, and don’t let your need to chill at the pool interfere with quality time with your pup. These floats are the perfect way to make the pool truly family-friendly, including for the dogs.
