Dairy Queen’s new Dreamsicle-Dipped Cone looks like a literal dream
If you’ve had absolutely enough of winter and are ready for all things spring and summer (including tons of ice cream, obviously), then Dairy Queen is about to shoot up your list of places you need to hit once the weather warms a bit. The fast food chain has started rolling out a new ice cream menu item at some store locations that will have you drooling — and heading to your closest DQ, pronto.
It’s called the Dreamsicle Dipped Cone and it looks every bit as delicious as it sounds.
The magical dessert isn’t listed on their website yet, but luckily, we still got details. “The new Dreamsicle Dipped Cone is made with world-famous DQ soft serve, and a vibrantly colored, creamy orange and vanilla flavored coating with a signature cone dip crunch. At DQ locations now through the summer, a Dreamsicle Dipped Cone is $2.44, but availability and price may vary by location,” Dairy Queen tells Scary Mommy.
People have been taking to social media to share their delight over the frozen treat, and based on these photos, who can blame them?
Cue me making an emergency Dairy Queen run with my kids tonight — the snow still sitting in my yard be damned. This. Looks. Amazing.
My hometown ice cream shops all dabble in dips — cherry is my personal fave — but this takes the ice cream cake, so to speak. I can’t be the only one who spent many a childhood summer eating as many Creamsicles as my mother would allow (and then sneaking more when she wasn’t looking). This is like a Creamsicle with way more ice cream, a hard candy coating, and a yummy cone. Yes. Please.
DQ is pretty much killing it these days when it comes to ringing in spring right. They just had their Free Cone Day, which is exactly what it sounds like. Which is to say, a complete dream come true.
They actually referenced the Dreamsicle Dipped Cone in that announcement and it was included as part of the freebie deal. “This offer includes the NEW DQ orange, creamy and crunchy dreamsicle dip, or try the DQ classic chocolate dip.”
Or, hear me out, why choose one over the other?
Summer will be here before we know it, but why not pretend it’s now? Thanks to Dairy Queen, our early summer has an official dessert.
