Strangers arrived with gifts when a new grandma accidentally texted them a birth announcement

Most people are firmly in the camp of “No one uninvited should visit a new mom in the hospital.” They would definitely make an exception for this adorable duo though, who showed up bearing gifts when a grandma accidentally included the strangers on a group text.

When Deorick Williams got a text from a number he did not recognize, he could have easily deleted it and moved on. When he saw it was a birth announcement, he did no such thing. He informed the new grandma who sent the message that she had the wrong number, but it didn’t stop him from congratulating the family and even commenting on how much he loved the name.

Exciting news about the dilating, but wrong number!

We don’t know you, but we’re bringing gifts! How much do you love these guys?

Derrick and his brother Dennis could have easily ignored the text.Teresa Lashley, the grandma accidentally receiving the texts could have said “Hell, no! We have no idea who you are do not come to this hospital.” Neither of those things happened. Instead, something really sweet did. This is just a feel-good Hallmark commercial in the making.

Lashley posted about the meeting on her Facebook page and Williams shared it:

“I accidentally [texted] a message about Mark and Lindsey having a baby to a number I had in my phone for someone else which now belongs to Mr. Dennis Williams and he and his brother came by to visit us and brought the baby a gift!” Lashley wrote. “What a blessing these two guys were to our family. They were so sweet and kind to do this! You 2 are great guy sand thank you for giving to someone you didn’t know!”

“Please share this with anyone you know and hopefully these guys will see. If we all only had this kind of heart.”

Indeed.
