Pretend swimsuit season isn’t coming because now there are chocolate covered Twinkies

It’s a scientific fact that dessert doesn’t go in the same stomach as the rest of your food — that’s why, no matter how much you eat, there’s always room for ice cream or a cookie.

And Hostess, the brand behind Twinkies, Ding Dongs and Ho Hos, is really stepping up to make sure our sweet tooth stays constantly satisfied. The newest offering from dessert heaven? Hostess cupcake cookies, featuring that white frosting squiggle we all know and love.

Hostess is rolling out a new initiative it’s calling Bake Shop, and it features new twists on a bunch of classic junk foods, like triple chocolate dipped Ding Dongs and Twinkies coated in frosting and sprinkles, and we truly cannot be more here for it.

They’re going to start showing up at a number of grocery stores over the next several weeks, according to Food Business News.

“The Hostess Bake Shop is literally just starting,” Hostess President and CEO William D. Toler told the site. “I think our first shipments on the cupcake cookie were in late February, early March.”

Swimsuit season may be right around the corner, but so are chocolate covered Twinkies, and we know which one we’re a lot more excited for.
