The Kate Spade Minnie Mouse Collection Is Making Grown Women Everywhere Squeal
Kate Spade unveiled a new line of Minnie Mouse merchandise and it’s totally adorable
Are you a Disney-loving, expensive-purse-buying mom in need of a wardrobe update? Well, have we got news for you. Kate Spade New York just dropped its new Minnie Mouse collection and if Disney is your jam, you’re about to totally redefine your springtime accessory goals.
The collection was introduced on the designer’s Facebook page to mixed reviews in the comments, as this is clearly not everyone’s taste. But if you’re into Kate Spade and you’re into Disney and have an extra $300 burning a hole in your pocket, behold — a few items from the collection.
Besides the fact that the sweater model looks like she just watched her best friend leave her forever, this is all pretty cute, right? Simple and classy. As classy as Disney-themed, fancy, designer gear can possibly be.
The collection is priced between $40-328, which if you’re a Disney aficionado, probably isn’t terribly shocking. If they sold these items at Disney World, you’d already be so used to paying $15 for a hot dog that a $300 Minnie sweater would seem totally reasonable. I kid.
Mostly.
In all honesty, these really aren’t priced all that differently from other designer label handbags and if Disney is what you’re into, this is a probably a goldmine of things to covet. Just because we grow up doesn’t mean we outgrow the things we loved as kids. These are just super cute adult versions of what we brought to the first day of preschool. Why not bring them to work too?
And obviously, adults being into Disney and other “kid” stuff is nothing new. That’s why there’s a whole host of options in Hello Kitty women’s merchandise and Minnie Mouse-themed make-up debuting at Sephora next month. Fashion and beauty can be fun and whimsical, even if you’re a 34-year-old woman with three kids. Just be prepared for your little ones to possibly covet some of this stuff. That sparkly evening bag in particular is what dress-up bin dreams are made of.
If you’re so inclined, the entire collection can be found on the Kate Spade website. Happy shopping!
