Jameela Jamil Shuts Down Idiot Dude Who Didn't Like Her Dress

On Monday, November 11, 2019, in New York City, our queen Jameela Jamil stepped out at the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards. At the women-centric fete, the actress wore a shiny orange and black suit-inspired Balmain dress and looked all sorts of business glam. The look was fun, sophisticated, and chic. Unfortunately, some asshat on the internet slammed the dress claiming he didn’t like the way she looked in it. His tweet was aggressively frustrating, the kind of thing that makes you want to scream, but the upside is that his dumb tweet gave Jameela the opportunity to respond with the feminist clap back to end all clap backs.

The dress featured prominent shoulder pads and gave off serious #girlboss vibes, so Jameela shared a photo of her look on social media and captioned it: “And to think I used to be self conscious about having broad shoulders. Now I love taking up SPACE.” First of all, that is already a *prayer hands emoji* thing to write about oneself, so we thought we were off to a great start.

After she shared the pic, some ding-a-ling slid into her mentions to ask: “Why would you leave the house looking that hideous?” to which Jameela expertly clapped back, “Because I have no desire nor responsibility to turn you on.”

And that, my friends, is what we call a mic drop.

Unfortunately, the troll doubled down on his comment about her dress and even claimed that she was “virtue signaling,” which is absolute nonsense. Of course, Jameela continued to hold her own and tweeted back at him, “…you saw a woman you’ve never met, dare to exude some confidence and thought, ‘oh I must tear her down.’ What a weird thought process. ‘She likes her dress. But I don’t personally like her dress. I Have to tell her in the meanest way possible! What a cool guy I am!'”

The guy continued to spew nonsense, so Jameela took the conversation over to Instagram and jokingly wrote, “Alert! I have misplaced all of the fucks I had to give. If found please forward to JAMEELA’S BANK OF FUCKS, Los Angeles, California, USA.”

Even better still, Katie Couric — of all people — commented on the post that she’d like to “make a few deposits” to Jameela’s “bank of fucks.” lol.
