Kellogg’s has joined forces with GLAAD to stand up to bullying and support LGBTQ youth

There’s a lot to love about Kellogg’s — the brand that makes all your favorite delicious breakfast cereals. Or afternoon cereals. Or late night snacks. From Frosted Flakes to Froot Loops, it’s hard to think of one that doesn’t make your mouth water for that sugary goodness in a bowl (or straight outta the box). Only now, there’s even more to love about them because they’re encouraging love in all of its various and beautiful forms with their new cereal box. They just partnered with the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) to release a brand new box that supports love being love.

It’s fittingly called All Together. Buying the new box will directly support GLAAD’s Spirit Day which falls on October 17th each year, and LGBTQ youth. How amazing is that? The box is purple. which is the color worn on Spirit Day, an annual LGBTQ awareness day observed on the third Thursday in October, with rainbow letters that spell out the word TOGETHER.

Kellogg’s announced the new limited edition box of cereal via Twitter.

Spirit Day is mega important and Kellogg’s clearly recognizes its impact. According to the website it’s “the largest most visible anti-bullying campaign in the world where millions wear purple to stand up against bullying, and to support a more accepting world for LGBTQ youth.” Now, you can support it just by buying a box of cereal online, and the shipping is free.

This one box combines six of our favorites in one. Each limited edition box of All Together Cereal includes Raisin Bran, Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies, Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops and Frosted Mini Wheats. But if you think it’s just a slush pile, don’t worry. The cereals come in six mini boxes. Of course, feel free to mix them all together in one bowl if you wish. We’re definitely not judging you and Kellogg’s isn’t either.

Acceptance is clearly the message behind these limited edition boxes. The popular brand will be donating $50,000 to GLAAD to support anti-bully and advocacy work. “We all belong together,” reads Kellogg’s website. “So for the first time in history, our famous mascots and cereals are offered exclusively together in the same box for All Together Cereal. It’s a symbol of acceptance no matter how you look, where you’re from or who you love. We believe that all people deserve an environment where they can be their best selves.” We so agree.

This is one company that clearly believes in a more inclusive world and we can absolutely get down with that message. It would be wonderful if more companies lent themselves towards lifting up communities that could use support. Especially because it makes it easy for consumers to help out and really make an impact.

It’s easy enough to buy a box of All Together cereal online to support a great cause. Each box costs $19.99 and shipping is included. But if you want to learn more about how to help support GLAAD and Spirit Day, you can visit their website to find out and take the pledge to stand up to bullying.
