Redheads Rejoice -- There's Officially Ginger Emojis
More than 150 new emojis are heading to your phone and texting is about to get so much more fun
Gingers of the world, unite in celebration. The redhead emoji is finally, finally being released and that means redheads can officially express their truest selves via text. All non-gingers can also unite in celebration because there are 150+ other emojis being unveiled for your texting pleasure. Basically, none of us have any need for real words anymore.
Here’s the deal. According to Emojipedia, this whole new batch of emojis will start to rollout on June 5th, though there might be some delays depending on what sort of platform you’re using. So, yes, that means that there’s a chance you might have to wait a few months before your phone is synced but it’ll be worth the wait. I mean, you’ll finally get to tell your friends when you’re feeling cold, wearing a cute ballet flat, or playing a casual game of jigsaw. They’ll no doubt appreciate the visual update.
In the meantime, here’s a quick look at all the emojis heading your way. Side note: not totally sure that the world needed a microbe emoji, but glad that it’s an option just in case.
Now, let’s take a much closer look. First of all, the hair options are delightfully diverse. In addition to redheads, we’re also getting curly haired emojis, grey haired emojis and bald emojis.
There’s also a wide array of new snack emojis you can share. Hopefully, the cupcake emoji gets a very decent amount of use.
Annnnd hopefully the mosquito emoji gets exactly zero use, but by all means, bring on one million parrots.
There’s also a ton of miscellaneous ones that you probably never thought you needed but now definitely do. I mean, how did we go this long without the toilet paper emoji?
Literally no one is as excited about these new emojis as redheads.
Three big, big cheers for gingers everywhere [insert brand new Smiling Face with 3 Hearts emoji].
