No Thank You, Fashion Santa
Santa has been a hot topic this holiday season, with stories about Santas all over the U.S. going beyond their duties for kids of all types. We’ve met autistic Santa, we’ve met sleeping Santa, we’ve even met hipster Santa. Well now it’s time to meet “Fashion Santa”.
Ever wonder what it would be like if Santa traded his toy making for posing? Thanks to Toronto’s Yorkdale mall, you don’t have to wonder any longer.
The Santa I know is a jolly man with a pot belly and rosy cheeks. He doesn’t go to the gym and has no idea what the terms “low-carb” or “high protein” mean. I mean, who wants a Santa who would turn his nose up at the cookies and milk left for him?
Fashion Santa might be nice to look at, but I’ll take my Santa jolly, fat and imperfect. The way he was meant to be.
Fashion Santa isn’t all bad though. As part of its Fashion Santa holiday campaign, the Yorkdale mall will donate $1 to the SickKids Foundation for every selfie posted using the hashtag #YorkdaleFashionSanta, up to a total of $10,000.
