Let this be your new mantra as you grow older

Pink has never been afraid to be fully herself — or to take on the internet trolls who criticize her for it. Our favorite celeb mama is at it again, providing us with a masterful takedown of a Twitter troll and giving us our new aging mantra in the process.

It all started with that viral video of a 12-year-old girl singing “Perfect” at a Pink show and just blowing the singer away (watch at your own risk, because you will ugly cry).

How anyone could watch that video and see anything other than a perfect, emotional moment between a performer and her young fan is beyond all of us, but this is the internet, where the absolute dregs of society go to shit on happy people, so of course, out came this troll.

Um, excuse me? Why, just fucking why is it necessary for someone to make a comment like that, especially in response to something as beautiful as that video? Get your pathetic, miserable ass a hobby, please. Also, she is stunning at any age so kindly shut your pie hole.

But as the well-adjusted and social skilled among us were gearing up to go full keyboard warrior on that dumb troll’s ass, Pink stepped in and handled it, like she does.

“You must be from la. Well, there are a few people left in the world that choose to age naturally. And I’ve earned every fucking minute of my 38 years. How you lookin though? Cause I never heard of ya til you put my name in your mouth. I shall call you little purple troll,” she wrote.

She then continued with this kicker, which completely put the troll and their reprehensible behavior behind her and reframed this all as a chance to recognize an important lesson.

She’s completely right. Nobody knows how much time they have, and growing old is a privilege some people never get. Instead of fighting the aging process, we should be embracing it and celebrating the opportunity to live long, full lives, and leave it to Pink to give us this reminder. Just one more reason to love her.
