Sarah DiMuro is a freelance health and lifestyle writer in Toronto where she lives with her two young sons. She’s also a breast cancer survivor who welcomed her second child via gestational surrogacy when cancer treatments prevented her from carrying another baby. She writes lots about these experiences and even had a vlog (First Baby, Then Breast Cancer) for Rethink Breast Cancer chronicling her journey.
Sarah earned a BA in Government from Smith College and a MFA in Performing Arts from the Trinity Rep Conservatory. In addition to writing, she’s also an actor who’s appeared in commercials and tv shows across North America. (Of course, her kids are most impressed with her performance as a mermaid in an ING spot several years back.) A comedian at heart, she’s also been a featured guest and commentator on news and entertainment programs all over the country. Sarah has a background in retail marketing which she's put to good use as a shopping and commerce writer. Looking for a great eye cream for delicate over forty eyes? Wondering what are the top five things every woman in her fifties should be using on their skin? She’s covered it all for Yahoo Canada Style.
As a middle-aged mom herself, (who had her first kiddo at 40), she’s all about testing and reviewing products mamas like her will love. In addition to Yahoo, her work has appeared in Business Insider, Woman’s World, Glamour, Patient Voice, Healthline, Daily Hive, Giddy and more. When Sarah’s not trying to meet deadlines, she’s most likely watching Bluey or building “super big Legos” with her sons. She’s also probably planning her next trip to Disney World, a place she’s been over twenty-five times and counting.
