What do you do with your children’s drawings?

Stick them on the refrigerator? File them away in a shoe box? Wallpaper the playroom? Whatever it is, I’m pretty sure Ruth Oosterman has you beat.

In a series she calls “A painting collaboration with my toddler,” the Canadian artist takes what most parents would view as scribbles and uses them as a starting point for her whimsical paintings.

Think of Ruth and her daughter, Eve, the next time you smuggle scribbles out to the recycling.
