When the summer weather hits, you want to swim to cool off, but is that safe for your vagina? It can depend. Salt water and lakes treat your vag just fine, but that won’t necessarily go for a dip in your local pool. The chemicals in a pool could irritate the outside of your vagina. When it comes time for a steam in the hot tub, just keep it short and make sure that the hot tubs are at least 104 degrees or bacteria can form and put your vag at risk.

That’s not the only thing that can irritate your summer vagina. If you take your clam to the beach, just be careful to keep the sand out of your pants. If too much sand gets down there, gently scrub it away. Exfoliating your face may be a good thing, but exfoliating your vag is not.

Take a deep breath and exhale. We’re talking about your vagina. It needs to breathe. In the summer, we’re running around in the hot and humid weather. A little sweat is ok, but keeping your muff moist for too long can be bad. To avoid this, opt for loose, cotton clothing around your nether regions. If your downtowns are in wet clothing, change it up. This might mean a few outfits a day. Make it a fashion moment!

Happy Summer Vag!
