We are SO here for this

Sure, the Fourth of July seems like it was yesterday and Labor Day hasn’t even arrived, but it’s time to think about Halloween, dammit, and Target is making it feel oh so right.

Some things just go together — like peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese, a locked bathroom door and a box of wine — and now when you think of upping your succulent game, Target will be front and center because they are selling Halloween-themed succulents and they are as adorable as they are affordable.

Target

The retail giant (and home away from home) just released a line of planters shaped like skulls, pumpkins, black cats, and all other manners of spooky creatures as a part of their Hyde & EEK! Boutique. It also features life-sized skeletons and light-up skulls perfect for scaring the crap out of unsuspecting family members.

If you have little ones and want to keep things on the cheerful side, Target is selling smiling pumpkins, ghosts, and black cats all for the low-low price of $3. If your fam is more on the spooky side, you can purchase one of the colorful pumpkin or skull-shaped planters sporting creepy eyes, tongues, and teeth circa Little Shop of Horrors with plants colored come in black, white, and orange for just $4 (Rick Moranis not included).

File this next but under the best news you’ve heard all week — these succulents are actually fake, which should be good news for the majority of us trying to keep plants, kids, and significant others alive this holiday season. And with every color combo you could possibly imagine, there’s no doubt they will match with any home decor.

Halloween is the perfect holiday — you get to dress up, get candy and have an excuse to decorate every inch of your house with tacky glitter spiders and half-eaten zombies. If that’s not enough to give the kiddies nightmares, you can also find adorable items like these succulents or the newly introduced Halloween trees really get the party started.

The overall dimensions according to the Target website are just 2.75 inches (H) x 2.62 inches (W) x 2.5 inches (D), so they’ll easily fit on a desk, windowsill, or as a part of a table setting. If you’re into gift-giving, they would also be perfect for a kid’s room (remember that “not real” part of the equation).

These little boo-ties won’t be available in stores or online until September 8 but if I were you, I’d be placing the items you’ve got your eye on in your shopping cart now because they’re not going to last long.
