According to a new study out of the University of Minnesota, being hungry puts you in a more acquisitive mood, not only for food but for everything

Part of the research, reported in sciencedaily.com, looked at the spending habits of consumers who shopped at a large department store; it found that the hungry shoppers spent 64 percent more than those who were less hungry.

In a separate study, those who were hungry opted for 70 percent more products than those who were full.
