Today M&Ms announced they will soon be adding a new flavor to their arsenal of goodness: caramel. Don’t tell your kids. Don’t tell your husband. Don’t even tell yourself. Oh my god these are going to be so good. Soon you can pretend that you’re buying them for your kids, hide them behind the spices, and eat them in the pantry while pretending to prepare dinner.

The new flavor is expected to be the biggest product launch in the brand’s history, because caramel. Seriously, why didn’t this happen sooner?

PEOPLE writers were sent some to try, which leaves us to wonder where the hell our caramel M&Ms are — moms are candy connoisseurs. One editor described them as being like “Rolos with a crispy shell,” which sounds freaking amazing.

You’ll have to wait until May to try what M&Ms describes as “a creamy caramel center covered in delicious milk chocolate, enclosed in a colorful candy shell.”
