Here’s when you can watch ‘A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving’ this year
Who isn’t excited to watch ‘A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving’ this time of year? The Peanuts gang just transcends generations — they’re universally lovable! The holiday flick first aired during the Thanksgiving season in 1973, and it’s been a tradition for families ever since.
Who doesn’t feel for Charlie when he misses the ball Lucy is baiting him to kick, every, single, time? And who doesn’t love Charlie trying to please his buddies when they all show up unannounced on turkey day? Poor kid. Always having to multitask and think of solutions. Is Charlie Brown the most under-appreciated friend in vintage TV? He just might be. And what kid wouldn’t actually prefer Charlie, Snoopy, and Woodstock’s thrown together meal of pretzels, popcorn, and jelly beans? Heck, I may make that instead this year. My kids would probably enjoy it more than the meal I sweat over all day.
This year ABC is airing the family favorite the night before Thanksgiving — so what better way to chill out with the kids and get ready for the long holiday weekend together than curling up on the couch and enjoying this favorite? It will be on ABC at 8pm ET. If you don’t have cable you can purchase the movie on Amazon Video for $12.99.
And since we’re all basically full-into the Christmas season already, we may as well dive into A Charlie Brown Christmas early. That will be airing a week after Thanksgiving, on Thursday December 5. How is it the holiday season already?
