Carrie Underwood shares how her husband and son are helping her through the last weeks of pregnancy

Ahhhh, pregnancy. It’s all fun and games until you can’t tie your own shoes (or see your own feet for that matter). Luckily for Carrie Underwood, she has a couple of adorable helpers to assist her in the third trimester.

Underwood posted a sweet video on Instagram of her three-year-old son, Isaiah, and her husband helping out with a pretty important job. “I can no longer tie my own shoes…So glad I have such sweet helpers!” she wrote as they tied her amazing sparkly shoes.

Underwood, who’s expecting her second child with husband, Mike Fisher, announced with co-host Brad Paisley during the Country Music Association Awards that she’s having another boy.

It hasn’t been an easy road for the country superstar. She revealed in September that she suffered three miscarriages in two years prior to this pregnancy and admitted her feelings of anger had her conflicted because she had a perfectly healthy son.

“I had always been afraid to be angry,” Underwood says. “Because we are so blessed. And my son, Isaiah, is the sweetest thing. And he’s the best thing in the world. And I’m like, ‘If we can never have any other kids, that’s okay, because he’s amazing.’ And I have this amazing life. Like, really, what can I complain about? I can’t. I have an incredible husband, incredible friends, an incredible job, an incredible kid. Can I be mad? No.”

She also suffered a serious fall in 2017 that required 40-50 stitches in her face, causing her to take an extended break from the public eye while she healed.

Looking forward, Underwood is concentrating now on only positive things in life, including this sweet photo of her and Isiah cuddling over the holidays.

For anyone who’s suffered a miscarriage and gotten pregnant again, you know it’s a blessing beyond comprehension. “It sucked so much. But things are looking better,” she said.

Congrats to the expecting parents and here’s hoping Underwood continues to get spoiled by her boys for the next few weeks (or years) to come.
