13.5 pound baby is wowing the internet with her adorable chub

Every baby is a miracle. And all of us who have carried a baby for nine long months and delivered them should feel like the boss we are. Believe me, we are ALL deserving of the high-fives and ass pats for everything we do to get our kids into this world. But we are going to give Chrissy Corbitt one extra high-five, because she just delivered 13.5 pounds of adorable baby girl.

Yes, you read that right. Her gorgeous newborn daughter weighed in at 13.5 pounds.

“It looked they pulled a toddler out of my belly. She’s so big,” Chrissy Corbitt of Keystone Heights, Florida tells ABC News. Her daughter Carleigh was born May 15 at Orange Park Medical Center and apparently was much larger than anyone had imagined.

“When the doctor was pulling her out of me I just start hearing them all laughing and excited in the operating room,” recounts Corbitt. “They were throwing out numbers and when they showed her to me and said 13.5 I couldn’t believe it.”

Really, who can blame her? I’m a few years past the baby stage but don’t they still measure babies in utero to give the mother some general idea of how large their baby will be? Mothers need to know what to expect, you know, when another person is coming out of our bodies. It’s not like we are relying on our local weather forecaster here. Like, “Hey tomorrow looks gorgeous. We should have a picnic” then it rains all day because apparently no one on earth knows how to predict the weather even though they have college degrees and Doppler radar and shit.

Corbitt says the doctor yelled, “Oh my gosh, she’s going to be 15-pounds. I don’t think this baby is going to end. Are there two of them?”

Any mom of a big baby knows something major is happening when the nurses start laughing and trying to guess your baby’s weight. Believe me, I’ve been there. My youngest son was my smallest at 8.3 pounds when he was born (did I mention he was three weeks early?). Whomever invented C-sections, we thank you.

“She’s like a 6-month-old baby,” says proud father, Larry Corbitt. “We even contacted Pampers and Huggies to help us out because everything we got to prepare is just out the door. None of it fits. She’s in size 3 diapers. The clothes she had on yesterday was a 9-month outfit. She’s huge.”

At some point, we recommend maybe not describing your daughter like that but for now, it’s hilariously adorable.

He says his wife has also “always been anemic” and had to have three blood transfusions during the C-section in order to have the baby “because her iron was so low.”

“But they’re both doing great now,” Corbitt says. “My wife is a trooper for everything she’s gone through.”

Can someone get this woman a medal?
