When A Stray Found Them, This Bachelor Party Turned Into A Puppy Rescue
Guys at bachelor party rescue seven puppies and their mom
Bachelor parties are typically known for drinking and debauchery. No offense guys. But, a group of men from Michigan had a bit of a different experience when a special female visitor showed up at their cabin door.
No, not a stripper. The men who live in Michigan were hanging out in a cabin in the woods of Tennessee cooking their morning bacon with the door wide open when they saw a dog just sitting there.
“She was such a sweet dog that once we gained her trust, she was happy to see us, wagging her tail — just a big sweetheart,” groom Mitchel Craddock told ABC news. The groom said he could tell the dog recently had pups, but she was looking pretty rough. She was dehydrated, her milk had dried up, and she was hungry. The guys gave her food and water and she started making milk again. They rightly assumed if she was making milk her puppies must be pretty young and not far away. They noticed she was guarding a certain area in the woods and checked it out. They saw a den of sorts with puppies sticking out.
“We set each pup individually down in front of her, and she nuzzled their faces, and she checked out the pups, and to the person holding them, she gave the look of ‘It’s OK, I trust you,'” Craddock said. Aww. After making friends with the pups it was bath time.
They washed the puppies who were all filled with fleas. They told The Dodo that they made makeshift puppy beds.
Then the men made the ultimate sacrifice: beer money.
“We pooled a bunch of money to buy food and beer. After the third day, our beer fund turned into puppy food fund,” Craddock said.
They took all of the puppies and their mama back home where they adopted them or their family members did. They told ABC news that they all live within a five-mile radius.
“I kept a male and named him Gunner, all of the dogs are doing well,” bachelor party go-er Trevor Jennings tells Scary Mommy.
The men are obviously getting tons of media attention and women all over the internet are basically swooning over them and their puppy rescue story. We told Jennings someone on Facebook called them “the most datable guys.”
“I have not had time to read all the comments, but there are a few of us still single so maybe someone will get lucky.”
