How to Dad implores clothing companies to think of the #dadhands

If you have an infant, you’ve probably spent an oddly large amount of time analyzing baby clothes, specifically, what the hell is up with those tiny snaps? As if it wasn’t hard enough to get a baby ready for bed, some genius baby clothing designers decided to throw multiple snaps on the tiny outfits. And just to make things even more interesting, have fun figuring out which ones match up!

Jordan Watson, the dad behind the Facebook page How To Dad posted a hilarious video this week that begs the question, why tiny snaps? Why? We hate to break it to you Jordan, but this has nothing to do with what you perceive as your “giant dad hands.” Baby clothes are just as annoying for moms.

“This is an important message to all the baby clothes builders out there,” Watson begins his video. “I’ve got hands and I’m a dad. I’ve got dad hands that don’t deal to well with baby buttons. So many tiny baby buttons.” Let’s just revisit something for a minute: baby clothes builders. This is what exhaustion does to your ability to communicate.

“Help the dad hands and make more velcro,” he implores. Sure. It’s all good until your child starts sticking to everything around him: the cat, the couch, the carpet. But we get it, baby clothes are a huge pain in the ass.
