Let’s talk about making giant bubbles. We’ve been homeschooling and instead of a break, we’re now stuck social-distancing and passing the time listening to our kids whine about how they’re so boooorrred. We need to keep them busy with things to do because yikes! There’s a lot of hours in the day. If you feel like you’ve tried every trick in the book, here’s a new one that might actually get them outside. [note: this video was shot before coronavirus – so wear a mask if you’re out in public!]

Big, giant, gigantic bubbles are way easier to make than you might imagine and they are IMPRESSIVE. The ones that dazzle kids and adults alike. Be honest. You’ve been dazzled by them. Now it’s time to pull out all the stops and make them yourself.

In this Momsplained video, we give you the simple steps for making bubbles. But here’s an important tip – the bubble mix needs to set overnight, so don’t tell your kids about them until the mix is ready. There’s nothing worse than being asked the same questions, over and over and over again. You know, “When will the mix be ready?” So, don’t blow the bubble surprise too early.

Don’t have a wand? Don’t worry. We have you covered there too. With some simple household items, you will be ready to blow with the best of them.

Once your bubbles and bubble wands are ready, it’s time to head outside with the kids. They will love it and it will keep them outside and moving while you’re just sitting there, sipping on some lemonade.

The down side? I hate to burst your bubble, but they’ll want you to do it again. So make a big batch!
