Impatient Man Busts Out Of Plane’s Emergency Exit, Immediately Regrets It

Clearly no one told him to stay in his seat until the “fasten seatbelt” sign is off

Flying is one of those activities that truly tests every limit of your patience. By the time a long flight lands, everyone on board is itching to get off. However, most people manage to hang tight until the plane gets to a gate before attempting to disembark.

Not this guy, who has been described in news reports only as “unidentified Polish national” on a Ryanair flight from the UK to Spain. He got fed up with waiting for his plane to reach the gate and decided to take matters into his own hands by busting the fuck out of an emergency exit. Only the poor guy clearly didn’t think things through, because, well, just watch the video.

That is a man who is full of regrets. After impatiently forcing his way out of the emergency exit, he found himself on the plane’s wing with no way to get to the ground and nowhere else to go, except sheepishly back into the plane, which was not an option for him, obviously. So he did what any full-grown adult man would do in this situation:

He sat down on the edge of the wing to have himself a good pout. As you do.

What makes it even better is how totally nonchalant he reportedly was about the entire ordeal. Fernando del Valle Villalobos, the fellow passenger who shot video of the man’s unorthodox exit, told the Associated Press that passengers were all waiting in the aisle to get off the plane when the man “very calmly asked permission to get past, opened the emergency exit, looked out, saw the wing, went back for his back-pack.”

This is a man who attacks a challenge head-on. Even if it ends in being totally humiliated. Props for sticking to your plan, bud. No matter how ill-conceived.

Reports say the man was eventually “coaxed” back onto the plane, and police have opened an investigation into the security breach. But the seriousness of the situation hasn’t stopped all of Twitter from making fun of the guy’s poorly thought-out escape plan.
