Introducing the Experts

Snort. That was the first of my many, many, many misconceptions about motherhood.

And the older I – and my kids – get, the more I realize there is something to be said for tried and true parenting wisdom. Most books I’ve picked up or doctors I’ve spoken to have turned me off, however, because the advice just seems so unachievable. What I crave these days is Scary Mommy style advice: Real and doable and designed for someone who, herself, is going to mess up every now and then. Suddenly, a few months ago, it dawned on me: Why not add something like that to the site? I sure as hell could use it, and maybe you could, too.
