This mom had her Quinceañera when she was 45

Prepare to feel alllll the emotions with this one. A 45-year-old mom finally got the quinceañera she had always dreamed of — and the pictures are beautiful.

Saúl Ramírez‏ took to Twitter to share snapshots of his mother, Lorena Del Carmen Navarro, all dolled up in a pink gown, dancing, posing, and pretty much looking like an all-around glowing, fabulous fairy princess.

See? Fairy. Princess.

Ramírez tells Scary Mommy that as young girl, Navarro always dreamed of having a quinceañera but her parents couldn’t afford the celebration. She considered having the party when she turned 30, but ended up being on bedrest while pregnant with her second child. By age 45, she was ready for her “sweet 15.”

The big night was attended by 150 friends and family members. The night was full of dinner, a musical performance from her son, and a dance with her husband to her favorite song “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran.

Oh yeah, and instead of the traditional cake, Navarro was gifted with her favorite Krispy Kreme donuts — which, honestly, is a far superior alternative.

In case you can’t tell from the pictures, Navarro had a complete blast. “It’s just a celebration of life and being thankful to God for the things I’ve achieved and the things he’s given me,” she tells Scary Mommy. “It’s just been a good life.”

Unsurprisingly, her glorious photos have captured the Twitterverse’s heart. Her son’s post racked up nearly 100,000 likes, along with lots of love, congratulations, and a general consensus that Navarro looked like the most joyful, beautiful angel.

Navarro is not a big social media user but she has heard that her pictures have made the rounds around Twitter.

“I really don’t know what it means to be viral, but from what I hear from my family, it’s a good thing,” she says. “Overall, I’m thankful!”

Meanwhile, her son noted that his mother deserves all the viral love she can get.

“I personally am just so happy for her because she truly is such an amazing woman and deserves as much love and recognition as possible,” he said. “From being a great mom to being and exceptional teacher to being an outgoing soul, she’s incredible.”

Nope, not crying at all. The happiest of 45th birthdays to you, Lorena. Here’s to so many more pink ball gowns and Krispy Kreme donuts.
