This Singing Uterus Makes Perimenopause Seem (Almost) Fun
Hey girl, you thought you were done learning about your body after age 12? Well, your uterus and your ovaries disagree!
If there’s one thing I never thought I’d find adorable, it’s a uterus singing about “headaches, insomnia, memory loss and whiskers on your chin” to a tune that sounds like it should be crooned by Rizzo in Grease, but that was before I saw this insane/brilliant/hilarious video put together by menopause expert Ellen Dolgen.
Yes, it features a solo by your clitoris. Yes, it includes the line, “When it comes to fertility things can get hairy—not talkin’ ’bout your legs.” And, yes, there is a shout-out to Peri Gilpin who played Roz on Frasier. It’s the best thing you will watch today, I promise. Stick around for the end when they get to the good parts of menopause: “You can’t get pregnant if you don’t have a period, plus all the kids will be gone.” Maybe “PMS-squared” won’t be so bad after all.
