The United Nations General Assembly literally LOL’d at Trump’s claims that he’s doing a good job
Today, Donald Trump gave his second speech of his presidential term before the United Nations General Assembly. In it, he made some pretty lofty claims about the success of his administration, as he is wont to do.
More specifically, he told the Assembly, “My administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country.”
And then the Assembly literally laughed in his face.
Trump: "My administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country."

Like, not even just chuckles. They full on laughed at him. It’s not like he didn’t deserve it. Obviously that claim is asinine and entirely untrue. But can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that the most diplomatic people on the planet were all together in one room and were incapable of being diplomatic toward this guy? Because that’s what just happened.
Also, let’s direct our attention toward one of Trump’s 2014 tweets, which was directed at then-President Barack Obama, who, by the way, was never openly laughed at by the United Nations.
We need a President who isn't a laughing stock to the entire World. We need a truly great leader, a genius at strategy and winning. Respect!

OK, well, now that we’ve seen that, let’s LOL together at the jokes the internet is making about this. Because typical Trump news is about things like racism and family separation at the border, and this is more like a hilarious scene from a sitcom. It’s a nice break, having something so light to read about, don’t you think?
You've got to admit, the UN General Assembly is one of the few shows which is better with a laugh track.

Not having a great morning but at least the UN general assembly didn't laugh in my face.

I think he may be "rounding up" here… https://t.co/s6HQOAWXeQ

When your aides forget to mention that you’re a laughingstock in the eyes of the world… https://t.co/9pTAzSuCEl

But, you know, only light in comparison to the usual headlines. It’s actually pretty embarrassing and kind of a national low point.
UN General Assembly openly laughs at Trump claiming his administration has accomplished more than any other American administration. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the general assembly laugh at an American president before. How humiliating. pic.twitter.com/6QAOPpqF5b

What an embarrassment for our nation this morning at the United Nations. I would have never thought I would see the day the rest of the world laughed out loud at our nation. So embarrassing! https://t.co/RZCJWhhxmM

JUST IN: Trump opens UN speech saying, "In less than two years, my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country" to which then entire UN general assembly LAUGHS OUT LOUD at the president of the United States.

That was the only part of the speech that got a laugh from the entire assembly, but pretty much the whole thing was treated like a joke.

And world leaders were definitely not amused by his America-first agenda.

Weirdly, Trump seemed to take it all in stride, even joining in on some of the laughter. That’s not his usual reaction to criticism, which kind of makes it seem like maybe he didn’t understand they were laughing at him, and not with him?
Anyway, he’ll probably rage-tweet about it later. Make America Great Again, amirite?
