We’re Fangirling Over These Winter Boots

It snowed in early November in about half the country this year. EARLY NOVEMBER, people. This is not a drill or Game of Thrones joke — winter is actually coming. And lady, your feet were cold and wet in that storm, weren’t they?

Uh-huh.

I know my toes are still a bit blue from running an errand in the snow and stepping in a slush pile that soaked my shoes. But I hit up Kohl’s and now I say BRING IT ON winter because I just got some super cute Lugz and I am pumped. Now my toes are nice and toasty in here, so I’m never taking them off until I hit the beach next summer.

Here’s what I love about all three pairs of Lugz I bought. Yes, three. Because winter has levels, and they were all super cute AND less than a hundred bucks a pair.

Look, the weather is completely broken. I want to be prepared.

Great Fit Even With Cozy Socks

My feet are wide-ish, so finding comfy boots can be challenging. I found all three pairs to be just the kind of fit I needed — meaning plenty comfortable for day-to-day running about in winter but roomy enough for thick socks during cold snaps and snowstorms.

Can Take What Winter Throws at Them

Okay, this is why I got three pairs. These for slippery cold days, these for running around in the snow after everyone has shoveled except that one annoying neighbor, and these for heading to the park for sledding and snowman building. You’ve got to think winter all the way through, folks.

Yes to Warm But No to Swamp Feet

Remember those cheap moon boots we wore as kids? They kept the snow out, but when you took them off your feet were super sweaty. My Lugz Tamboras are tall like moon boots and are perfect for taking the kids sledding but breathable enough to prevent swamp feet.

I’m an Adult So I Want Laces

Yes, velcro is 100% awesome for the kids. I have mad love for zip-up boots, too, but they don’t keep the snow out and they don’t offer the flexibility that laces do — like loosening enough to put on those thick wool socks. Grown-ups get laces because grown-ups like warm toes.

They Don’t Weigh Twenty Pounds

It’s bad enough to have to march around in the snow without your feet weighing an extra ten pounds because of your boots. I love how my Lugz Mallards feel like regular shoes when I’m wearing them so my center of gravity doesn’t change when I’m on a slick surface.

Listen, winter is going to be crazy this year and it’s worth it to invest in cute winter boots you can wear when the flakes start flying. Because adulting means having three pairs of snow boots so you can mom no matter what.

Lugz makes comfortable and adorable boots, shoes, and sneakers that the whole family will love. Get your Lugz at Kohl’s before they sell out.
