Your 1 Year Old Toddler Week 27
You Definitely Have Your Hands Full
Now that your toddler is moving toward the status of being a big kid, you may notice that more and more gray hairs are poking out of your head. Between fending off temper tantrums and trying to figure out what to eat that won’t cause protests you have definitely got your hands full!
Temper tantrums are a giant pain in the ass, but public tantrums are even worse. To avoid them, try paying attention to signs of hunger, boredom, and fatigue. Keeping snacks on hand is a brilliant solution for buying yourself a few minutes to get through the grocery store check out, or to coax relative calm out of your toddler while trying to get him in the car seat.
Is your child getting enough sleep? Toddlers at this age needs roughly 11 to 12 hours of sleep each night plus a nap in the afternoon. If your child is having sleep problems it may be time to think about moving out of the crib and into a toddler bed! Make the move a fun adventure by letting your child help choose the new set up.
Scary Mommy Tip: Are you getting enough sleep? Sometimes moms’ needs get overlooked! Make sure that you’re taking care of yourself, too. Get as much sleep, good food, and trashy TV as you can to keep you at your best.
