It’s official: Chrissy Teigen “never can win” in the world of internet trolls

Because people on the internet can be an absolute nightmare, the goddess that is Chrissy Teigen experiences body-shaming on social media nearly every friggin’ day. She eats a cheeseburger for lunch and a bunch of idiots accuse her of being pregnant. That was last month. Now it’s July and the mother-of-two and some internet trolls have moved on to another part of her body. Her ass.

Apparently, these bored-out-of-their-minds lurkers not only have a problem with Teigen’s stomach not being flat as a pancake, but that her backside isn’t as robust as they would like it to be. Seriously?

Some idiot who goes by the Twitter handle “@Officiallyice” started off the body-shaming party by posting a paparazzi pic of Teigen living her best life with husband John Legend and 14-month-old son Miles lounging in a hot tub overlooking the ocean.

In the photo she is wearing a burgundy bathing suit — and looking absolutely gorgeous, not that it matters. John happens to be squinting, because, duh, they are outside in the sunshine and he isn’t wearing sunglasses. But of course, someone had to insinuate that Legend was starting at her behind in disgust. “Im fuckin’ crying bruh,” wrote Ice. @Kidd_Ugly went even further, writing “Damn her stomach poking more than her booty.”

Because Teigen is basically a superhero put on this planet to shove body-shaming morons into their place, she responded to the absurd comments. “Everyone so used to ass shots and photoshopped Instagrams,” she tweeted. “I’ve had no ass forever. Is this new news to some of you?”

She continued to point out that “Fuckin lames wouldn’t be able to stop blabbering if I got my ass done either. Bored as all hell, never can win!”

Ice responded to Chrissy, claiming that he wasn’t trying to critique her body. “We laughing at dude face ma. That’s what makes the pic funny. Stay blessed,” he tweeted.

But Chrissy wasn’t having his lame ass excuse. “His face, looking at my ass, so nah. I see the comments you know,” she said. “His grossed out face looking at my ass. You don’t need to explain this to me. I get it. I know the meme and I see the 100s of comments under it *about* my body and his reaction to it. You were clowning on me or his look at me. That’s all.”

“Just laughing about his face’ Lolllllll sure,” Teigen wrote in another post. “I’m not that pressed, I’ve seen this photo all week,” she added. She continued to explain that she follows the Twitter account that originally posted the photo — which we aren’t sure why, because Ice totally sucks — and that she can say what she wants just like he can.

While we agree that yes, it is a free country, and freedom of speech is a thing, it’s just NEVER okay to to publicly shame a woman for her body, or anyone, for that matter. Maybe it’s technically legal, but it certainly isn’t right.

We applaud Teigen for calling a spade-a-spade and not putting up with all the negative crap that the internet vomits up. Hopefully Ice has learned his lesson and will think twice next time before posting any sort of body-shaming garbage on the world wide web.
