PAW Patrol is on a roll… and heading to a theater or Paramount Plus subscription near you! The beloved Nickelodeon cartoon about heroic rescue cops is getting the big-screen treatment as PAW Patrol: The Movie premieres on August 20, 2021. Take a look at the brand new trailer.

The PAW Patrol movie stars all your kid’s favorite pups from the TV series and introduces a new doggo Liberty, an adorable long-haired dachshund voiced by young actor Marsai Martin. Oh also, Kim Kardashian is in the movie too… more on that later.

“When their biggest rival, Humdinger, becomes Mayor of nearby Adventure City and starts wreaking havoc, Ryder and everyone’s favorite heroic pups kick into high gear to face the challenge head on,” according to the film’s official synopsis. “While one pup must face his past in Adventure City, the team finds help from a new ally, the savvy dachshund Liberty. Together, armed with exciting new gadgets and gear, the PAW Patrol fights to save the citizens of Adventure City!”

The movie features a new song “Good Mood” by Adam Levine and the cast is stacked with awesome comedy voices like: Iain Armitage, Marsai Martin, Yara Shahidi, Kim Kardashian West, Randall Park, Dax Shepard, Tyler Perry, and Jimmy Kimmel.

And yes, you read that correctly: Kim Kardashian…is in the PAW Patrol movie.

Though I couldn’t hear her signature Southern California drawl in the trailer and have no idea who she is playing in the movie, there was a joke in the clip about “influencers,” so perhaps Kim K is playing herself? Or a doggy influencer?? I know Kim K is a wildly famous individual, but I had no idea that kids, specifically kids who like the show PAW Patrol, would care at all about her being in their favorite doggy content, but it’s 2021 and here we are.

Regardless, parents are pretty stoked about the movie news, with some chiming in online to share their kid’s excitement.

“My son recently turned 4 and everytime new episodes come to Netflix he is 100% all in on everything Paw Patrol again. It’s the first show I put on for him at 1 & 1/2 years old, the excitement hasn’t faded. For his age, this more intense film is right on time!” said one mom.

“My 3-year old has been running around shouting “My pups movie!” since I showed her the trailer. The excitement is very much there for the kids,” added another mom.

“No way am I showing this trailer to my son before the day of. He will lose his tiny excitable mind if he sees this but can’t watch the movie yet,” said another.

PAW Patrol: The Movie will premiere in theaters and on stream on Paramount Plus on August 20, 2021.
