Mornings are hard — especially if you’re not of the bright-eyed and bushy-tailed variety. Mornings are really hard if you’ve been up all night with a teething baby or you’re burning the candle at both ends for work. Whatever the case, morning comes every single day like clockwork (#PunTotallyIntended). Sleep is of the utmost importance, and while we should prioritize it above all else, sometimes we’re just doing the best we can with what we’ve got. For that reason, we’ve got to get ourselves in the right headspace to set the tone for our kids. We can do that with things like yoga, journaling, meditation, and coffee… all the coffee. Once we’re in the right frame of mind, how do we set our kids up for success? Well, there are a lot of ways we can do this — a hearty breakfast, morning stretches, maybe even daily gratitude practice. There is one more small addition you can make to your AM routine that you may not have considered: good morning songs for kids. What is a good morning song? It’s exactly what it sounds like — a catchy tune that helps your kids get their day going in the right way.

YouTube is a great resource for finding good morning songs. They can be played to signal wake-up time. Or while brushing teeth. Or after breakfast. Whatever the case, consistency is key. If you’re going to add good morning songs to your morning routine, make it a daily habit. Then, it becomes something you and your little one will look forward to each morning.
