It’s only been a few months since Love Is Blind Season 3 landed on Netflix, but for the couples of the show, a year has passed since they said “I do” — or, you know, *didn’t.* And that means it’s time to check in on the cast of what turned out to be the messiest season yet. On Wednesday, Netflix announced a three-episode After the Altar special will premiere Friday, Feb. 10.

“A year after the weddings, some old flames have reunited, while others try to navigate the next steps in their relationships,” the show’s synopsis teases. “Watch as the Season 3 cast readjust to life in Dallas after the altar and comes together for a birthday extravaganza. Who is still thriving, and who is forced to make hard decisions about their future?”

They say everything’s bigger in Texas, and that proved true of the drama for these Lone Star State couples. Read on for a recap of Season 3 and where we left everyone.

How did things end for the Season 3 couples?

Spoiler alert! The following section reveals key information about LIB Season 3.

Oof! This season proved to be a doozy. If you’ve been following the cast on social media, you probably know all of the ins and outs. But for brevity’s sake, here’s a quick rundown:

  • Alexa and Brennon: These two said “I do” and have been going strong ever since, even getting two dogs together.
  • Colleen and Matt: Colleen and Matt exchanged vows, and they revealed during the post-show reunion they are still together (albeit, at the time, still living apart).
  • Raven and SK: Everyone was shocked when SK turned Raven down at the altar, but the duo admitted during the reunion that they’d reconciled. However, they split for good in November 2022 after reports about SK cheating surfaced.
  • Nancy and Bartise: After Bartise said “no” at the altar, he and Nancy remained on talking terms — but it came out at the reunion that things were tense, at best, after Bartise hooked up with another woman days after their split.
  • Zanab and Cole: Arguably the most explosive LIB breakup yet, Zanab roasted Cole on the altar, later accusing him of body- and food- shaming her. For his part, Cole says he was blindsided. The internet remains divided.

What’s the premise of Love Is Blind?

As one enthusiastic cast member declared in the Love Is Blind Season 3 teaser, "Boyfriend season is over!" Netflix's smash hit reality series centers on singles looking for love who agree to be locked into pods where they converse with people they can't see (whew, that's a mouthful).

In terms of relationship longevity, the first two seasons produced varying results. Two couples from Season 1 are still married, but all of the couples from Season 2 have split. In a new interview with Tudum, creator Chris Coelen weighed in on why he isn't too concerned with how long the couples last once the cameras stop rolling. "I don't want [the cast] to think about whether or not they stay together," Coelen said. "What I do care about is them going on a journey of discovery and getting to a place where they make the right decisions for them."

He continued, "Whether a marriage lasts for their lifetime or whether it doesn't, all of these moments and all these experiences have a really important place to play in peoples' lives … Of course, it's great that we have couples who are still together as a result of this experiment. But I think it would be just as fascinating if we didn't have anybody still together."

When did Love Is Blind Season 3 premiere?

The most recent batch of delightfully addicting episodes landed just in time for cozy season. The first four episodes of the season will debut on Oct. 19. After that, a new batch of episodes hit each Wednesday through Nov. 9, when the finale and annual reunion episode wrapped up the third season.

Who’s in the Love Is Blind Season 3 cast?

When Netflix released the first teaser for the new season, the streamer shared that filming took place in Dallas (Season 1 was filmed in Atlanta, and Season 2 was filmed in Chicago). When asked by Tudum to describe the new cast, Coelen shared they were all eager to embark on such an unconventional path to find someone they could spend their lives with.

"These people are all in," he said. "They're dynamic, fun, fascinating, layered, and vibrant. They're truly committed to trying to go on a journey that's going to find them love based on the noblest of reasons: who they are on the inside, and falling in love with someone for who they are."
